All clinical services are provided under the oversight of a licensed General Surgeon, ensuring physician-led medical accountability, quality assurance, and adherence to applicable standards of care.
This Code of Ethics applies to all physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, contractors, employees, and representatives of Philadelphia Wound Care, LLC.
Commitment to Patients
We place the dignity, safety, and well-being of our patients above all else. Care is delivered based on medical necessity, individualized clinical assessment, and accepted standards of care—without discrimination based on age, race, gender, disability, socioeconomic status, or insurance type.
Physician Oversight & Clinical Governance
All wound care services provided by Philadelphia Wound Care, LLC are clinically supervised by a licensed General Surgeon, serving as Medical Director, who is responsible for:
- Oversight of clinical protocols, treatment pathways, and standards of care
- Supervision and review of clinical services delivered by non-physician providers
- Quality assurance, outcomes monitoring, and clinical governance
- Ensuring compliance with federal, Pennsylvania state, and payer-specific regulations
All clinical care is delivered in accordance with physician-approved protocols and within the scope of licensure and training of each provider.

Ethical Billing, Coverage & Payer Compliance
Philadelphia Wound Care, LLC is committed to accurate, transparent, and compliant billing and documentation practices. We adhere to requirements established by:
- Medicare Part B
- Medicare Advantage (Managed Care) plans
- Commercial and private insurance carriers
- Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
- Federal and state fraud, waste, and abuse laws
All claims are supported by appropriate documentation and physician oversight where required, and are submitted in good faith based on medical necessity and payer-specific coverage criteria.
Patient Privacy & Confidentiality
We strictly safeguard patient health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and all applicable privacy laws.
Protected health information is accessed, used, and disclosed only for legitimate clinical, operational, or legal purposes.
Professional Conduct & Respect
All team members are expected to uphold professionalism, honesty, and respect when interacting with:
- Patients and caregivers
- Referral sources and healthcare partners
- Facilities, staff, and community members
Harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or unethical behavior is not tolerated.
Conflicts of Interest
Any actual or potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed promptly. Decisions affecting patient care, referrals, or business operations must always prioritize ethical obligations, licensed physician-directed clinical judgment, and patient welfare over personal or financial gain.
Accountability & Reporting
We encourage open communication and the reporting of ethical concerns without fear of retaliation. Any suspected violations of this Code, clinical protocols, payer requirements, or laws should be reported promptly for review and corrective action.
